I graduated from Piedmont Yoga Studio's 200 hour, Advanced Training Program. My teaching style holds multi-leveled precision, challenge, and joy. I tailor each class to meet the most immediate needs of those who walk in the door. My dream is to make Yoga accessible to those who may be hurting or afraid to try the practice. Traditional Yoga poses can be propped (w/ pillows, blankets, chairs, blocks) and modified so that students of any ability may enjoy the health benefits of inversions, twists, seated/standing poses, and backward/forward bends. I want my students to leave class empowered, w/ their aches released and their moods clear.
For 8 years I have shared Yoga teachings with elementary and pre-school Yogis in their schools. My kids classes foster physical, emotional, and mental skills like balance, flexibility, curiosity, mindfulness, and non-judgment. My wish is to cultivate the compassion, presence, and intuition, already present in the spiritual lives of our children.
